The focus of this role is maintaining the equipment and systems within the plant, performing emergency response support to operations for all equipment issues, minimising downtime and waste.You will also carry out planned maintenance tasks to prevent failures of equipment during operation and bring forward improved maintenance suggestions and/or improvement initiatives to increase reliability of equipment and where possible to increase availability, improve quality and/or efficiency while at all-times ensuring safety systems are maintained or improved. What you'll be doing Ensuring all works undertaken during maintenance activities performed do not breach the appropriate health and safety standards and where necessary will assist others and/or report safety breeches. Responsible for ensuring an up-to-date knowledge of Kerry policies, regional, national and local legislative requirements necessary in performing the tasks associated with the role of maintenance engineer. Participating in process and equipment risk assessments and HACCP studies as necessaryLead or assist in the troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance of electro-mechanical food manufacturing equipment or processes containing pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation, PLC and/or SCADA systems. Lead or assist in the troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance of facilities plant and services, including but not limited to compressed air, refrigeration and steam. Being observant
