About the role

This role involves balancing customer demand with production resources based on material and packaging availability, ensuring just-in-time readiness to achieve On Time In Full (OTIF) production within inventory targets. This is a permanent, full-time role based on-site in Glasgow, worked Monday to Friday (Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:00, Friday 07:30-14:45).

Key responsibilities

  • Develop an achievable and efficient production schedule that considers material availability, labour, resource constraints/capacity/targets, and food-safety requirements to meet dispatch dates and maintain OTIF performance.
  • Communicate any production-related issues that may affect customer orders to Customer Care.
  • Monitor and identify risks or deviations that may impact adherence to the production plan.
  • Review customer requests for changes in order quantity or delivery dates.
  • Participate in the Daily Tier 1 meeting.
  • Raise issues that affect other departments through the Tier 2 meeting process.
  • Provide information for the weekly production planning meeting, outlining the upcoming weeks plan and identifying long-term operational considerations and opportunities.
  • Contribute to meeting inventory targets by ensuring timely use of rework materials or items with short shelf life.
  • Provide information and clarification to other functions regarding the production plan.

Qualifications and skills

  • Fluency of English language, both verbal and written and able to communicate effectively.
  • Relevant qualifications / equivalent experience in supply chain department.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • SAP experience desired.
  • Structured & disciplined in adherence to standards and way of working.
  • Open mind with problem solving abilities.
