As Revenue Manager, you will play a pivotal role in achieving the hotel's commercial goals by driving revenue growth, profitability, and market share. You'll lead the development and execution of revenue strategies across all business streams while collaborating closely with senior management and commercial teams to deliver exceptional financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Drive Revenue & Profitability: Maximise market share, revenue, and profit across all key business areas including rooms, meetings & events, F&B, leisure, and spa. Take full ownership of total revenue management.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement dynamic pricing and sales strategies grounded in sound commercial insight, data analysis, and business intelligence.
- Collaboration: Build strong relationships with senior leaders, central teams, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive execution of revenue initiatives.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare the annual room budget by market segment, contribute to the overall annual revenue plan, and deliver accurate weekly forecasts and performance analyses.
- Market Segmentation: Identify key market segments and optimise distribution strategies, with a strong focus on driving direct bookings.
- Performance Optimisation: Maintain and analyse the daily Demand Calendar to optimise RevPAR, RGI, and profitability through smart pricing, inventory control, and sales restrictions.
- Reporting & Analysis: Produce detailed weekly and monthly revenue reports, highlighting trends, opportunities, and strategic recommendations for ownership and senior management.
- Leadership: Lead weekly revenue meetings and monthly commercial reviews to ensure strategy alignment and performance accountability.
- Opportunity Management: Proactively identify revenue opportunities and potential risks, taking action to maximise results and mitigate challenges.
- Team Leadership: Manage and motivate the reservations team to enhance response times, conversion rates, and overall sales effectiveness.
- Event & Group Business: Support group, wedding, and conference quotations, ensuring alignment with demand and conducting displacement analyses as required.
- Sales Collaboration: Partner with the sales team to evaluate account production, identify new targets, and use tools such as Agency360 and HotStats for performance insights.
- Contract & Partner Management: Oversee corporate rate negotiations, RFPs, and OTA relationships to optimise profitability and market competitiveness.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed on competitor activity and market trends to adapt strategies proactively.
- System Management: Ensure accurate maintenance of distribution and property management systems, following daily, weekly, and monthly operational checks.
- Performance Reporting: Deliver comprehensive month-end reports including revenue performance, booking trends, competitive analysis, and segmentation insights across rooms and events.
Requirements
- Revenue Management experience in the hotel industry, with key experience in rooms, F&B and key hotel functions.
- Coming from the hotel industry, you will have extensive experience in Revenue Management, with a proven track record of overseeing the revenue department and team.
- Key experience with working within an energetic commercial environment with full responsibility for multiple revenue streams.
- A proven ability to achieve challenging targets, with strong negotiation and leadership skills.
- Technically savvy in all things systems.
- Having ambition, drive and determination in all aspects of your core duties.
