Kerry Robert Associates is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our hotel client, a stylish and well-established hotel in East London, for an experienced Reception Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Front Office professional looking to take the next step in their career or an established Reception Manager seeking a fresh challenge within a quality hotel environment.
You will play a key role in leading the Front Office operation, inspiring your team to deliver exceptional service and ensuring every guest enjoys a warm, memorable welcome from arrival through to departure. This is a highly visible leadership role where you will be empowered to make a real impact on both the guest experience and team performance.
The Role: As Reception Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the Front Office, leading by example and creating a positive, guest-focused culture. Working closely with the Front Office Manager and wider hotel leadership team, you will help maintain exceptional operational standards while supporting, mentoring and developing your team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reception operation runs efficiently, handling guest enquiries with professionalism, coordinating closely with other hotel departments and identifying opportunities to enhance both service delivery and commercial performance.
Requirements:
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a hotel Front Office department (essential)
- A confident and approachable leader who enjoys developing and motivating people
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a busy environment
- Strong operational knowledge of hotel reception procedures and guest service standards
- Experience using Opera PMS or a similar hotel management system
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify revenue opportunities while maintaining exceptional guest care
- A proactive approach, excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for hospitality
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
