Kerry Robert Associates are delighted to be partnering with a hotel located in one of the most vibrant cities in Cameroon in the search for a General Manager. The successful Hotel General Manager will ensure the optimal management of the real estate, financial, and human resources to offer a high quality experience to customers, and to guarantee the financial stability of the hotel.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Manage daily operations across all departments, ensuring service quality standards
  • Create and monitor departmental budgets while controlling operational costs
  • Recruit, train and develop staff while maintaining optimal staffing levels
  • Build relationships with guests and handle escalated complaints professionally
  • Analyse performance metrics and implement improvements based on data insights
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director on improvements and property enhancements

The ideal candidate must have:

  • 5+ years of hotel management experience with leadership responsibilities in renowned international groups
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and managing P&L statements
  • Strong knowledge of property management systems and hotel operations software
  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Master's degree in hospitality or business
  • Experience with brand standards and quality assurance programs
  • Certification from hospitality associations or management training programs
  • Fluency in French and English is essential
