Responsibilities
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety standards, assist others and report breaches as needed.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Kerry policies and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
- Participate in process and equipment risk assessment and HACCP studies.
- Lead or assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electro‑mechanical food manufacturing equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation, PLC and SCADA systems.
- Lead or assist in troubleshooting and maintenance of facilities plant and services such as compressed air, refrigeration, and steam.
- Detect faults and take decisive action to effect immediate repair or seek further assistance.
- Recommend improvements to maintenance plans or equipment to eliminate downtime and waste.
- Collaborate with suppliers or contractors on new equipment and installations.
- Update the maintenance management system (SAP PM or other), record all work performed, store transactions, and document changes to equipment or systems.
- Carry out the weekly work schedule, prioritising tasks in the CMMS.
- Support planners/schedulers in specifying job plans.
- Maintain and report updates to process control documentation (drawings, programs, I/O lists, databases).
- Participate in risk assessments to optimise design, hygiene, safety, environmental, and quality compliance.
Qualifications
- Trade or degree qualified – Electrical with multi‑skilled/cross‑skilled capability including mechanical.
- Strong diagnostic/troubleshooting experience in high‑volume manufacturing or process environment.
- In‑depth knowledge of manufacturing electro‑/mechanical equipment, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation‑controlled systems.
- Demonstrated safety‑compliant troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Understanding of planned maintenance, LV systems, drives, soft starts, PLC/automated systems, mechanical & fluid drive processes, lubrication systems.
- Experience reading and interpreting drawings.
- Excellent organisational skills.
