About the role

As a Technician based on-site at our Omagh manufacturing facility, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of production equipment within a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the wider engineering and production teams to maintain performance, minimise downtime, and support continuous improvement across the site. This role operates on a rotating shift pattern, offering exposure to a dynamic production environment and opportunities to build experience across different working schedules.

Working Pattern & Benefits

  • Full-time role, averaging 40 hours per week, across 7 days (including days, nights, and weekends)
  • Shift patterns:
  • Day shift 700am – 300pm
  • Evening shift 300pm – 1100pm
  • Night shift 1100pm – 700am
  • Shift allowances apply to all shifts, with different rates depending on the shift.
  • Weekend and bank holiday work paid at enhanced rates
  • Overtime opportunities available
  • Key responsibilities

    • Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment
    • Diagnose faults and implement timely, effective solutions
    • Interpret mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams
    • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery
    • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
    • Adhere to on-site quality behaviours and practices

    Qualifications and skills

    • Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience as a technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
    • Flexible and adaptable, able to work effectively in a changing production environment
    • Quick to learn new processes, systems, and technologies
    • Works effectively with others to achieve common goals
    • Good communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes
    • Able to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
