We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operator in our Kerry Team in Menstrie, Clackmannanshire, Scotland. It is a full-time, permanent position based on shift work, rotating early (0600 – 1400) and afternoon (1400 – 2200) shifts, Monday to Friday; and one weekend a month.
Our Kerry site in Menstrie has a manufacturing history dating back over 250 years. The current plant has been largely developed over the last 30 years and is now a highly sophisticated, leading edge semi-continuous process plant with high levels of automation, process control and hygienic design standards. We manufacture yeast-based ingredients for a variety of food and cell nutrition applications, as well as being a leading supplier of yeast to the whisky industry.
Responsibilities of Production Operator will include:
- Manually packing 25kg product into sacks.
- Palletising and presenting finished product ready for dispatch.
- Maintaining SAP and paper records for Critical Control Points (CCPs), ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Manufacturing in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), site procedures and standard processes.
- Adhering to food safety controls across the site.
- Maintaining day-to-day throughput within the area by applying a safety-first, quality-always approach.
- Escalating plant issues to the Operational Team Leader promptly.
What do you need to be successful?
- Being computer literate and comfortable using digital systems (SAP, MS Excel, Teams, Outlook).
- Demonstrating excellent attention to detail.
- Communicating clearly in English and working effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrating good numerical skills.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience working shifts and following strong health & safety and food safety practices is preferred.
- Forklift experience or a valid licence is beneficial.
