About the role
As a Technician based on-site at our Omagh manufacturing facility, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of production equipment within a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the wider engineering and production teams to maintain performance, minimise downtime, and support continuous improvement across the site. This role operates on a rotating shift pattern, offering exposure to a dynamic production environment and opportunities to build experience across different working schedules.
Working Pattern & Benefits
- Full-time role, averaging 40 hours per week, across 7 days (including days, nights, and weekends)
- Shift patterns:
- Day shift 700am – 300pm
- Evening shift 300pm – 1100pm
- Night shift 1100pm – 700am
Key responsibilities
- Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment
- Diagnose faults and implement timely, effective solutions
- Interpret mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Adhere to on-site quality behaviours and practices
Qualifications and skills
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience as a technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Flexible and adaptable, able to work effectively in a changing production environment
- Quick to learn new processes, systems, and technologies
- Works effectively with others to achieve common goals
- Good communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes
- Able to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Applies a structured, problem-solving approach, using data to guide actions
- Builds strong working relationships across teams
- High attention to detail, ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards
