About the role: This role involves balancing customer demand with production resources based on material and packaging availability, ensuring justâinâtime readiness to achieve On Time In Full (OTIF) production within inventory targets. This is a permanent, fullâtime role based onâsite in Glasgow, worked Monday to Friday (MondayâThursday 730â1600, Friday 730â1445).
Key responsibilities:
- Develop an achievable and efficient production schedule that considers material availability, labour, resource constraints/capacity/targets, and foodâsafety requirements to meet dispatch dates and maintain OTIF performance.
- Communicate any productionârelated issues that may affect customer orders to Customer Care.
- Monitor and identify risks or deviations that may impact adherence to the production plan.
- Review customer requests for changes in order quantity or delivery dates.
- Participate in the Daily Tier 1 meeting.
- Raise issues that affect other departments through the Tier 2 meeting process.
- Provide information for the weekly production planning meeting, outlining the upcoming week's plan and identifying longâterm operational considerations and opportunities.
- Contribute to meeting inventory targets by ensuring timely use of rework materials or items with short shelf life.
- Provide information and clarification to other functions regarding the production plan.
Qualifications and skills:
- Fluency of English language, both verbal and written and able to communicate effectively.
- Relevant qualifications / equivalent experience in supply chain department.
- Proficient in MS office.
- Excellent time management skills.
- SAP experience desired.
- Structured & disciplined in adherence to standards and way of working.
- Open mind with problem solving abilities.
