We are currently recruiting for 2 multi-skilled or electrically biased Engineering Technicians to join the Team of 7 Engineers at our Portbury production facility in Bristol. The facility is a dry blending and mixing production facility where we create flavour blends for some of the world's best loved brands. This is a permanent position, with a 3 shift pattern from Monday to Friday:
- Week 1 - PM - 14:00 - 22:00
- Week 3 - Nights - 22:00 - 06:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Complying with the health and safety policy and regulations.
- Resolving breakdowns, carrying out PM’s and working on project/improvement works to minimise production downtime.
- Carrying out risk assessments and putting controls in place to minimise risk to acceptable levels.
- Locking off any dangerous machinery immediately or repairing and notifying.
- Actively gaining information from production personnel regarding faults to speed up the fault-finding process.
- Ensuring engineering log and computer systems are fully filled in with all relevant information at the end of each shift.
Qualifications:
- HNC, City & Guilds or time served apprentice with appropriate electrical engineering qualifications.
- Experience within a similar role ideally gained within a food manufacturing environment; experience within any manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Electrically biased or multi-skilled; PLC experience is highly desirable.
- Flexible approach with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
- Experience of SAP is highly desirable.
