Kerrs Tyres & Auto are now recruiting for Apprentice Mechanics to join our growing team in Northern Ireland.

Essential Criteria:

  • Registered for an apprenticeship course or qualification
  • Mechanics tool kit

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous light mechanical or tyre fitting experience
  • Registered for level 3 apprenticeship (Lv 2 qualified currently)

Duties Include:

  • Identify faults and repair components & fit new and manufactured parts.
  • Undertaking full inspection before hand-over to customer
  • Recording all relevant details, completing records etc
  • Understanding of diagnostics and fault finding
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Maintaining a clean and neat work space and adhering to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
  • Experience in tyre fitting an advantage
  • Increase revenue through upselling to customers
  • Exceed customer care standards, service and satisfaction through excellent quality of work, advice and customer interaction
  • Commit to continual personal development, improvement and motivation through training, coaching and mentoring and engagement in performance reviews
  • Communicate effectively with the Centre Manager and team
  • Achieve job expectations and adhere to Company processes, policies and procedures to ensure productivity standards are met
  • Identify any issues with equipment and vehicles and report to the Centre Manager at the earliest opportunity
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Centre, workshop, reception and Company vehicles
  • Understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures to ensure a safe, secure and legal work environment
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations including Health and Safety obligations, requirements and the reporting of accidents
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as shall from time to time be required by the Company, Centre Manager or Assistant Manager within the competency of the role and post holder
