The Head of Sales – SME Europe (Distribution) is responsible for leading and scaling high performing proactive inside sales teams focused on driving ERP solution adoption across merchants, retailers and distributors businesses. This role will oversee sales strategy, execution excellence, talent development, and revenue growth across the UK & Ireland and Benelux regions.
The Sales Director will be accountable for building pipeline, accelerating customer acquisition, and ensuring strong partner collaboration to extend reach and maximize market share in the SME Distribution sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Sales Leadership & Execution
- Lead, inspire, and develop inside sales managers and teams across the regions, instilling a culture of high performance and customer obsession.
- Own the revenue number for SME Distribution segments, ensuring consistent overachievement.
- Build and execute scalable outbound sales motions tailored to merchants, retailers, distributors, and rental customers.
- Drive forecasting accuracy, performance reporting, and business rhythm alignment with Northern Europe leadership.
- Go‑to‑Market Strategy
- Develop and refine GTM strategies for ERP offerings in the SME segments, ensuring they align with regional priorities and customer needs.
- Identify regional opportunities, market trends, and competitive dynamics to adjust sales motions and improve win rates.
- Partner with marketing to design targeted campaigns to generate pipeline and improve conversion.
- Team & Talent Development
- Recruit, onboard, and enable high‑potential inside sales talent across UK&I and Benelux.
- Provide coaching and regular performance feedback to drive productivity, capability, and career progression.
- Promote a team culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner & Ecosystem Engagement
- Collaborate with channel partners to scale reach in the SME distribution sectors.
- Drive joint pipeline development, co‑selling motions, and partner enablement for ERP offerings.
- Strengthen relationships with key ecosystem players, ISVs, and distributors to expand market penetration.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure sales teams effectively utilize CRM systems, tools, and data insights to drive disciplined pipeline management.
- Implement repeatable playbooks, customer engagement frameworks, and sales methodologies.
- Work closely with Product and Customer Success teams to ensure customer satisfaction and long‑term value realization.
- Essential
- Proven experience as a Sales Director or senior sales leader within SME or mid‑market environments.
- Strong background in ERP, SaaS, or business applications, ideally within distribution, retail or merchant sectors.
- Demonstrated success leading proactive/outbound inside sales teams across multi‑country regions.
- Track record of consistent revenue overachievement and pipeline generation excellence.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate teams and manage through complexity.
- Strong analytical, forecasting, and operational discipline.
- Ability to travel across UK&I and Benelux as required.

- Understanding of the UK, Irish, Dutch, and Belgian SME ecosystems.
- Experience working with distributors, ISVs, and VAR partners.
