A reputable client based in North Norfolk is looking for a Welder / Fabricator to join their growing business due to their expansion plans! Our client has a well-established client base of global companies and they have never been busier! This is a long-term, permanent job opportunity with the opportunity to develop and progress in the business. This role is mainly TIG welding, with some MIG welding. Work is based in the factory and occasionally on sites.
The Welder / Fabricator may develop new skills such as:
- Installation / modifications / service / maintenance to packaging machinery and equipment
- Turning / Milling
- Bench fitting equipment / machine assembly including pneumatic piping and electrical wiring
- Accurately measuring and cutting materials using band saw, cold saw, hacksaw and 4.5” grinding equipment
- Deburring materials using blades, files, linishing belts and 4.5” sanding equipment
- Rolling materials using manual pyramid roll equipment
- Folding materials using manual box and pan folding equipment
- Drilling holes in materials using pedestal or handheld pistol drill equipment
- Tapping holes using manual tapping wrenches
- Mostly using stainless steel materials typically 1–10mm thickness, similarly sized mild steels and aluminium are used to a lesser extent
