Mechanical Technician – Mechanical Workshop in Essex

Our client is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to join their specialist workshop team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of aircraft components within a fast-paced and quality-driven aerospace environment. Mechanical Technician Roles and Responsibilities: * Inspect and diagnose aircraft mechanical components * Disassemble, clean and assess components for repair * Carry out repairs and replace parts as required * Reassemble components to approved standards and deadlines * Work from technical manuals and engineering publications * Ensure all work complies with Part 145 and company procedures * Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping * Accurately complete all required documentation and system updates * Contribute to a positive team environment and continuous improvement activities Mechanical Technician Ideal Candidate: * Experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably within aerospace, automotive or manufacturing environments * An understanding of engineering drawings and technical publications * Knowledge of commercial aerospace practices (desirable) * A recognised engineering qualification (BTEC, ONC, HNC/HND or similar) is advantageous but not essential * Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel * A proactive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail * The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Mechanical Technician Working Hours and Benefits: * Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week) * Annual Profit Share Scheme * Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate * 31 days annual leave, including Bank Holidays * Company pension scheme * Nationally recognised training and career development opportunities * Company uniform and all necessary PPE provided * Employee Assistance Programme * Free on-site parking * Health and wellbeing support initiatives #J-18808-Ljbffr
