What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Practice Manager who combines operational expertise with authentic, people-focused leadership. This role extends beyond operational oversight. We are seeking a visible, approachable and emotionally intelligent leader who recognises that high-performing systems and a positive, values-driven culture must develop together. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for operational performance, workforce oversight and service delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with the GP & Pharmacist Partners and the HR & Business Partner to ensure the practice operates efficiently, safely and sustainably.
The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate
- Strategic and Operational Leadership
- Proven senior management experience, ideally within general practice or primary care.
- Strong understanding of NHS contractual frameworks, regulatory standards, workforce planning and financial governance.
- The ability to translate strategic priorities into clear, measurable operational delivery across two sites.
- Confidence in driving performance, managing risk and leading sustainable service improvement.
- A genuine commitment to staff wellbeing, engagement and professional growth.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams with clarity, fairness and accountability.
- The ability to foster trust, psychological safety and collaborative working.
- Strong communication skills, with confidence in managing challenge constructively and respectfully.
- A leadership approach grounded in integrity, transparency and inclusivity.
- A proactive mindset toward service development and digital transformation.

Minimum Requirements
Essential Experience
- Significant management experience within primary care, NHS, or comparable healthcare/ regulated environment.
- Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience managing operational performance and workforce planning.
- Experience handling employee relations matters at manager level.
- Experience working within a regulated environment.
Education and Professional Development
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Management qualification (e.g. ILM/ CMI Level 5/7, Diploma in Management, or equivalent) desirable.
