What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Practice Manager who combines operational expertise with authentic, people-focused leadership. This role extends beyond operational oversight. We are seeking a visible, approachable and emotionally intelligent leader who recognises that high-performing systems and a positive, values-driven culture must develop together. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for operational performance, workforce oversight and service delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with the GP & Pharmacist Partners and the HR & Business Partner to ensure the practice operates efficiently, safely and sustainably.

The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate

  • Proven senior management experience, ideally within general practice or primary care.
  • Strong understanding of NHS contractual frameworks, regulatory standards, workforce planning and financial governance.
  • The ability to translate strategic priorities into clear, measurable operational delivery across two sites.

    Minimum Requirements

    Essential Experience

    • Significant management experience within primary care, NHS, or comparable healthcare/ regulated environment.
    • Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
    • Experience managing operational performance and workforce planning.
    • Experience handling employee relations matters at manager level.
    • Experience working within a regulated environment.

    Education and Professional Development

    • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
    • Evidence of continued professional development.
    • Management qualification (e.g. ILM/ CMI Level 5/7, Diploma in Management, or equivalent) desirable.
