Do you want the opportunity to support and strengthen independent prescribing practice across Community Pharmacy in Cornwall? Are you passionate about developing Community Pharmacy Independent Prescribers, creating supportive professional networks, and enabling safe, confident prescribing practice across Integrated Care Areas? If so, we are recruiting Community Pharmacist Independent Prescriber Community of Practice Facilitator(s) to lead and support prescribing Communities of Practice across West Cornwall, Central Cornwall and North and East Cornwall.
Role Title: Independent Prescriber Community of Practice Facilitator – Community Pharmacist
Working Hours: Approx. 2 hours per ICA CoP meeting (evening delivery) plus 1-2 hours preparation time (12-month Fixed Term Contract)
Salary: £960.00 per annum per ICA CoP
Main Duties:
- Establish and lead a structured Community of Practice for Community Pharmacy Independent Prescribers within their Integrated Care Area
- Plan and deliver at least one structured evening Community of Practice event within the allocated ICA
- Create a supportive and psychologically safe environment for case discussion and shared learning
- Facilitate reflective discussion
- Encourage collaboration and peer networking between Community Pharmacist Independent Prescribers
- Identify learning needs and tailor sessions to local priorities
- Gather feedback and contribute to the ongoing development of the Community of Practice model
About You:
We are looking for Pharmacists who are passionate about developing others and strengthening prescribing practice, can work autonomously, and can build collaborative professional relationships across their ICA.
- Registered with the GPhC
- Hold an Independent Prescriber qualification
- Minimum of two years experience as a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber
- Currently work within Community Pharmacy
