We are a GP practice serving patients in Bodmin and the surrounding area. We are looking to recruit a permanent, experienced Nurse Practitioner, ANP, or prescribing paramedic to work as part of our practice team. We are initially looking to recruit to cover 4/5 days per week as FTE. This role will provide clinics seeing acute illness with same-day booking, working alongside the Duty GP to meet on-the-day demand. The post may also require some cover for home visiting service as part of the rota system.
Responsibilities
- Attend to patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional; diagnose and treat patients presenting with acute on-the-day illness.
- See patients with booked appointments at twenty-minute intervals and accommodate extra or emergency patients as needed.
- Prioritise and triage patient needs and make referrals for investigations in an appropriate manner.
- Discuss referrals to secondary care with the registered GP before making such referrals.
