As an Urgent Care Driver with Kernow Health CIC, you will support patients and experience in the following ways:
- Patient Support & Experience: Provide reassurance, updates and practical support to patients following assessment, helping them feel informed and comfortable. Make comfort calls to patients awaiting clinical contact or appointments. Assist with nonclinical care navigation, guiding patients on what to expect next in their care journey.
- Operational & Clinical Environment Support: Prepare treatment centres at the start of each shift, ensuring clinical spaces, equipment and IT systems are ready for use. Welcome patients on arrival, register them accurately, and support smooth patient flow through the service. Liaise with the Clinical Advisory Service (CAS) to coordinate activity and respond to operational need.
- Driving & Logistics: Transport clinicians safely and punctually to home visits, adhering to road safety standards and traffic regulations. Conduct daily vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness, report defects, and ensure vehicles are fuelled and ready.
- Safety, Compliance & Governance: Check and replenish medication stocks, following controlled drug procedures and accurate handovers. Maintain infection prevention and control standards across clinical spaces and vehicles. Complete accurate logs, records and documentation to support audit and safety requirements. Ensure premises, assets and confidential information remain secure at all times.
