About Kernel Agents are becoming part of how companies sell, buy and operate. But before an agent can close a deal, qualify an account, route a lead or assess risk, it needs to answer a basic question: which company is this? Today, that answer is messy. Business identity lives across CRMs, ERPs and third-party datasets full of duplicates, missing parent companies, stale addresses and half-correct enrichment. Humans have worked around that mess for years. Agents cannot. They need a shared identity layer they can trust. Kernel is building that layer: the business registry for agents. We create a permanent KERN ID for every business, plus the context an agent needs to act on it. Ops, data and revenue teams at Gong, Legora, Mistral, Canva and Checkout already use Kernel on their own systems. Agents are next, and there will be far more of them. We have raised $14M from top VCs and operators at Plaid, OpenAI, Slack and others, and we are growing 5x YoY.
The Role The Growth team’s purpose is simple - make Kernel grow faster. To date, most of Kernel’s customers have been sourced via cold sales outbound. What we need is for someone to add fuel to the fire by creating a world-class brand that excites prospects and customers alike. One week you may organise a New York dinner for the most senior people in our target audience, the next you could fly to San Francisco to film a case study that is circulated to thousands. The potential is limitless, and you will have agency to run considered experiments that lead to results. As the second person in Kernel’s growth team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring we continue and accelerate our success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build and own a brilliant events schedule. We know that in-person events work for Kernel. This includes premium in-person dinners, lunches, conferences, and events we have not yet considered.
- Own the public profiles of the Kernel leadership team, especially on LinkedIn.
- Design and implement marketing channels that deliver results.
- Create content for Kernel, both non-technical and technical, reaching an audience of 10s of thousands.
- Work directly with the CEO and Head of Sales on creative approaches to help Kernel win key deals.
- Contribute to product launches, customer announcements, and case studies.
- Come up with your own ideas for how Kernel can grow faster, scope them, implement them, and ensure they’re successful.
What You Bring:
- Exceptional taste.
- The ability to write exceptionally well without AI.
- Strong analytical skills, with a preference to judge results by numbers.
- Ruthless prioritisation.
- 2-5 years’ work experience.
This role may not be for you if you:
- Prefer slow-paced, highly structured environments.
- Need rigid process instead of figuring things out on the fly.
This role is definitely not for you if you:
- Like working on one project at a time.
- Want to protect a 9-to-6 or a mostly-remote setup. We're in the office together 4-5 days a week and the pace is high.
What We Offer:
- Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 + equity.
- 24 days holiday per year + bank holidays.
- £450 Monthly Office Dinner Allowance.
- 2 weeks work-from-anywhere.
- Generous parental leave policy.
- Pension plan.
- Top-spec equipment and central London office.
- Team events and dinners.
- Work directly with the founders to scale the systems that power enterprise AI.
- High-autonomy, high-trust environment with a small team shipping at pace.
Visas & Relocation: Not offered for this role.
Interview Process (1-2 weeks):
- Stage 1 – Video call with Zak (Hiring Manager).
- Stage 2 – Case study interview (in person) with Zak.
- Stage 3 – Values interview with Founders, Anders and Marcus. On the same day, coffee chat with the Head of Sales and one other Kernel team member.
If there is mutual fit, we move to references and offer.
