We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Restoration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring properties affected by water, fire, or other damages. You will work closely with clients to ensure their properties are returned to a safe and habitable condition. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in various environments.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake drying, stabilisation, and restoration work on buildings damaged by water, fire, or other disasters, including the installation of dehumidifiers and air movers.
- Use power tools and hand tools to remove damaged materials.
- Clean and sanitise affected areas to prevent mould growth.
- Assess the extent of damage and develop a plan for restoration.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Work on deep cleans, builders cleans, carpet and upholstery cleaning, hard floor strip and reseals, and communal cleaning.
Qualifications:
- BDMA or equivalent qualification preferred; extensive industry knowledge is essential.
- Experience in Restoration Drying, Strip Out, and Deep Cleaning.
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Driving licence is essential as we operate within the North of England postal areas. A mobile phone, iPad (or equivalent), and a company vehicle will be provided after probation.
The position is full-time, permanent, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Salary depends on experience, with potential bonuses and overtime.
