About Us

Kerbo Charge solves the problem of how residents charge their electric car when they don’t have a driveway - which is 40% of the UK problem. We design, manufacture and deploy the UK’s most widely adopted cross-pavement EV charging channel providing critical infrastructure to support EV drivers without a driveway to charge safely, conveniently and cheaply at home.

Where you fit in

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking SWQR Operator to work alongside our own Supervisor with the installation of Kerbo Charge channels across various locations throughout the UK. Each installation takes around 90 minutes and requires great care and attention to detail, preparing a 70mm wide by 40mm slot in the pavement, then installing the Kerbo Charge channel to be flush with the pavement. This role involves frequent travel and working away from home during the week. Accommodation, catering, and travel expenses are fully covered by Kerbo Charge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the on-site installation of Kerbo Charge channels across the UK.
  • Carry out work safely and efficiently in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are maintained and used correctly.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism on site.
  • Follow all health & safety regulations and company policies.

Your must-have qualifications

  • Holding a SWQR operator card valid until 2027 with modules:
    • O5 – Reinstatement in cold-lay bituminous materials.
    • O6 – Reinstatement in hot-lay bituminous materials.
    • O8 – Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways.
  • Card Scheme Accreditation in:
    • Abrasive Wheels training
    • Hot Works Safety Awareness
    • LPG Cylinder Handling/Safety

  • Valid driving license, willingness to drive works vans nationally.
  • You need to live within a 50-mile radius of Milton Keynes.
  • Previous experience in construction, civils, utilities, or a similar site-based role preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and work away across the UK.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team, understanding that some days there will be earlier finishes, and other days the team will finish later to ensure the job is always done.

Additional details

  • Up to £42,000 (£32,000 base + up to £10,000 performance bonus).
  • Monday–Thursday working schedule.
  • All travel, accommodation, and catering are paid for.
  • Opportunity to work on nationwide infrastructure projects and progress within a new company.
  • Ongoing contract opportunities following the initial FTC period.
