Would you like to really make a difference? Would you like to apply your skillset to a green technology startup that successfully won funding from Deborah Meaden on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den and is accelerating electric vehicle adoption? We’re growing fast and we’re looking for a Graduate Operations & Marketing Manager who wants real responsibility, real impact, and a front‑row seat to scaling a high‑growth startup. We are a multi‑award winning business – we went live in February 2023, have coverage across the BBC, Sky News and ITV, and are now the market leader – we’re already selling our product in 35 councils across the UK. If you’re looking to make the next move in your career and be part of something big we’d love to hear from you.
Your Role
This is a 50/50 split role across Operations and Marketing, giving you hands‑on exposure to both how we deliver our product and how we drive demand. You’ll work closely with our Head of Operations and Head of Marketing, receiving full support and mentorship from both teams while taking ownership of meaningful projects from day one. On the operations side you’ll help accelerate the national deployment of our product while ensuring a first‑class experience for our customers and partners. On the marketing side, you’ll help design and execute growth campaigns that directly drive revenue. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to build a rare combination of operational and commercial skills in a fast‑growing startup.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operations & Delivery (50%)
- Coordinate the end‑to‑end delivery of Kerbo Charge installations across the UK
- Work with councils, housebuilders, and private customers from planning through to completion
- Act as the operational link between internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate internal processes
- Support on‑site installs, including occasional hands‑on work (full training provided)
- Travel nationally to support new installations and ensure quality standards
- Design and implement omnichannel B2C marketing campaigns, including:
- Paid social
- Affiliate partnerships
- Referral programmes
Development & Progression
This role is built for rapid growth. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across both operations and marketing, with direct mentorship from experienced leaders in each function. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to specialise or continue building a hybrid skillset across both areas, with clear progression into leadership roles as the business scales.
Requirements
- Graduated with Bachelor degree or above with a minimum 2:1
- No prior full‑time experience required
Desirable (but not required)
- Marketing experience through personal projects, internships, or university work
- Interest in content creation (video, social, design, etc.)
- Interest in automating workflows using AI tools
Essential Skills
- Strong written, verbal and numeracy skills
- Highly organised and proactive, able to manage multiple workstreams
- Comfortable taking ownership and figuring things out independently
- Willing to get hands‑on
- Interest in startups, operations, marketing, and clean technology
- Willingness to travel across the UK
Benefits
- £30k base salary with annual performance‑related pay rises and up to 20% bonus (linked to personal and company performance)
- Equity via EMI share option scheme
- 25 days holiday plus free time off between Christmas and New Year
- Full disclosure – this is not a 9‑5 role. You’ll often work late to get stuff done, but later that week you’ll knock off early or take a day off in lieu. It’s simply about outcomes and meeting deadlines rather than hours worked
- Private medical cover with rewards such as 25% off hotel bookings (via Vitality)
- Beautiful brand new office with rooftop terrace, free access to adjoining private members club
- We’re a sociable bunch and value time together as well as working from home. Our office is a stone’s throw from Clapham Junction station, London and you’ll be there 2–3 days per week so you’ll need to be able to commute there easily
If you want a role where you can learn fast, build real skills across two core business functions, and have a direct impact on growth, this is it.
