Are you an experienced finance professional with strong management accounting skills and a proven ability to analyse financial data, support decision-making, and drive business performance? Do you take pride in delivering accurate financial reporting, identifying trends, and adding value through insight and continuous improvement? We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join us on a 14-month fixed term contract, providing maternity cover, who will take responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial analysis and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, improving processes, and partnering with stakeholders to drive performance. Every day will be different in this role, and we’re looking for someone with a highly analytical and detail-oriented mindset, strong SAP/ERP knowledge desirable, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the confidence to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and variance analysis
- Leading month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
- Providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
- Reconciling key balance sheet accounts and ensuring integrity of financial data
- Monitoring and analysing costs, margins, and performance trends
- Supporting audit processes and liaising with external auditors where required
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to challenge, support, and influence financial performance
- Preparing reports for senior management
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant financial regulations
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
- Reconciliation and submission of UK VAT and ROI VAT Returns
- Maintaining Fixed Asset Register
- Fulfilling ad hoc duties as requested by the Finance Manager
- Communicating over the phone, face-to-face, and via email
- Assisting with enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and investigation
- Experienced in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in SAP is preferred but not required
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities
- Willingness to learn
