Responsibilities What You’ll be Doing at Kerakoll
- Testing and analysing incoming goods, raw materials, and finished products using internal methods and external standards (e.g. BS EN 12004, BS EN 13813, ISO 9001).
- Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, following quality procedures.
- Accurately recording test results and managing data in line with quality standards.
- Investigating and reporting on product and raw material non-conformities.
- Handling returned goods: ensuring correct recycling or disposal.
- Collaborating and communicating clearly with internal teams locally and internationally.
- Preparing and presenting data analysis and test findings.
- Managing your own workload with accuracy and attention to safety and prioritisation.
- Providing support to internal stakeholder enquiries.
- Performing regular cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of lab equipment.
- Lifting and manual handling of up to 25kg as part of normal duties.
- Carrying out other ad hoc duties as required by the QC Supervisor or Lab Manager.
- Availability to work on a weekly rotating shift pattern which includes: Morning (6:00 – 14:30), Evening (13:30 – 22:00), Day (8:30 – 17:00).
Qualifications What you’ll Bring to Kerakoll
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, accurate working style.
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Interest in science, problem-solving and process improvement.
- Good IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a quality control laboratory.
- Willingness to travel internationally for periods up to one month (if required).
- Experience with SAP or other stock management systems would be beneficial.
- A Level or equivalent in science is helpful but not essential – we welcome applicants with an interest in structured processes.
