Are you an experienced finance professional with strong management accounting skills and a proven ability to analyse financial data, support decision‑making, and drive business performance? Do you take pride in delivering accurate financial reporting, identifying trends, and adding value through insight and continuous improvement? We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join us on a 14‑month fixed‑term contract, providing maternity cover.
You will take responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial analysis and support strategic decision‑making across the business. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, improving processes, and partnering with stakeholders to drive performance. Every day will be different in this role, and we’re looking for someone with a highly analytical and detail‑oriented mindset, strong SAP/ERP knowledge desirable, excellent problem‑solving abilities, and the confidence to communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance colleagues.
What You’ll Be Doing at Kerakoll:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and variance analysis
- Leading month‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
- Providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision‑making
- Reconciling key balance sheet accounts and ensuring integrity of financial data
- Monitoring and analysing costs, margins, and performance trends
- Supporting audit processes and liaising with external auditors where required
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to challenge, support, and influence financial performance
- Preparing reports for senior management
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant financial regulations
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
- Reconciliation and submission of UK VAT and ROI VAT Returns
- Maintaining Fixed Asset Register
- Fulfilling ad hoc duties as requested by the Finance Manager
- Communicating over the phone, face‑to‑face, and via email
- Assisting with enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Proactive approach to problem‑solving and investigation
- Experienced in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in SAP is preferred but not required
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities
- Willingness to learn
