Kepler Interactive is a London-headquartered collective of independent studios and creative talent, founded in 2021 to give bold, art-driven games the backing and visibility they deserve. The portfolio spans titles celebrated for their distinct visual identity and design ambition — including Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Sifu, Pacific Drive and Scorn and the upcoming Orbitals and ONTOS.
Kepler exists to champion creators who look outward for inspiration — to art, culture, music, and fashion — rather than just to other games.
We're looking for a Video Editor + Motion Designer to help shape how Kepler, our games and projects are presented to the world. You'll take the lead on cutting cinematic trailers and video content for our games and projects and bring a motion design sensibility that elevates titles, transitions, and visual flourishes beyond a straight edit. This is primarily a video role but we're building a team of multi-disciplinary creatives. If you're someone who's curious to explore other areas - into brand campaigns, typography, animation, social content or product development - there's real room here to grow your remit over time.
What You'll Do
- Video & Trailers
- Edit cinematic trailers and video content for projects across our portfolio, working closely with the Creative and Marketing teams from brief through to final delivery.
- Shape pacing, structure, and narrative flow so each trailer captures the tone and identity of the game it's representing.
- Cut content for multiple formats and platforms, from broadcast-quality cinematics to short-form social edits.
- Motion Design
- Design and animate titles, lower thirds, transitions, idents, and kinetic typography that give Kepler and the studios a distinct, polished finish.
- Collaborate with studio partners across different time zones and working styles, defining and collaborating on specific tone and vision of each project.
- Beyond the Edit
- Contribute ideas and craft to Kepler's broader brand and cultural output - campaigns, events, and content that connect games to wider creative communities.
- Take on adjacent creative work as your interests and skills allow — whether that's 3D/motion graphics, photography, design, or event content - as the team and your role evolve.
What You'll Bring
- A strong portfolio demonstrating video editing and motion design - if you love games that's ideal, but a cinematic eye is what we’re really looking for.
- Confident, professional proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- A sharp sense of pacing, rhythm, and visual storytelling - you know how to build tension, payoff, and tone in a cut.
- Clear communication skills - you can pitch a creative idea, take feedback well, and keep a project moving when opinions differ.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail when juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
- An independent spirit, we provide everyone with a lot of creative freedom and we appreciate candidates who thrive in that environment.
- An interest in the broader cultural landscape, and the ability to pull references and ideas from it.
Nice to have
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5 / Sequencer or other in-engine capture tools.
- Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender, Touch Designer, creative coding, or other visual development tools.
- Background in the games industry, entertainment marketing, or trailer/promo work specifically.
- Sound design or music editing sensibility.
- Experience contributing to brand or social content outside of trailers.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary, reflective of experience and impact, plus bonus and potential stock options.
- Flexible working hours and location to suit how you work best.
- An annual personal training/development budget, plus access to industry conferences.
- Paid volunteering days and a charitable donation on your birthday.
- Wellbeing support, including mental health resources.
- Medical/health insurance and pension contributions (subject to country of residence).
Our Values
- Experimentation: We challenge the norm, stay curious, and move with confidence into the unknown.
- Kindness: We believe how we treat people matters. We empower and uplift with clarity and honesty.
- Excellence: We aim high. We think creatively, embrace feedback, and celebrate both wins and lessons learnt along the way.
