Role Overview
As a PT Sales Trader, you will be responsible for executing global programme trades, partnering closely with institutional clients to deliver best-in-class execution outcomes. You will provide execution consultancy and market structure expertise while helping clients navigate increasingly complex trading environments.
The role requires close collaboration with trading, sales, ETF, electronic execution, and technology teams across the firm to source liquidity, optimise execution performance, and ensure best execution. You will play a key role in building client relationships, growing execution revenues, and promoting the firm's full suite of execution capabilities.
The role reports to the Global Head of Low Touch & Portfolio Distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Working in the Equity Low Touch PT Sales-Trading Team in London
- Covering European institutional clients
- Providing tailored services to meet client needs
- Monitoring Algorithmic Orders
- Ensuring efficient and optimal execution of client orders
- Utilising advanced trading systems and technologies
- Advising Clients on Algorithmic Trading Strategies
- Offering insights and strategies to optimise execution performance
- Keeping clients informed of market trends and developments
- Pre & Post-Trade Analysis
- Conducting thorough analysis to evaluate execution quality
- Providing clients with detailed reports and insights to inform future strategies
- Marketing Our Entire Platform
- Promoting our capabilities in ETFs, Program Trading, Low-Touch, and High-Touch trading
- Engaging with clients to demonstrate the value of our services and solutions
- Program Trading Tasks
- Designing and executing large-scale, basket-trading strategies
- Coordinating with internal teams to manage and optimise program trades
- Implementing risk management strategies to minimise exposure during program trades
- Utilising advanced analytics to assess the impact and performance of program trades
- Engaging with clients to understand their program trading needs and deliver customised solutions
Experience & Competencies
- 1-5 years working experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Customer-oriented
- Self-driven & proactive
- Autonomous but appreciates teamwork
- Good knowledge of the financial markets: a first experience on the equity markets would be a plus
- Relevant background in algorithmic trading, quantitative analysis & statistics
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Education: Business School or University with a specialisation in Market Finance & quantitative analysis
- Fluent in English. Fluency in French, Spanish or Italian a plus
