Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role are varied and include general reception duties, taking patient enquiries both at front desk face to face and on the telephone, general day to day administration, e.g. Econsults, emails, reports, scanning, recalls, prescriptions etc.

The practice is committed to the future of the GP workforce being a training practice, hosting GP registrar(s) and3rd year medical students.
We currently have 3 GP Partners, 3Salaried GPs, and 2 Nurse Practitioners who are supported by an extendedclinical team consisting of 2 Practice Nurses, a Student Nurse Associate and a HealthCareSupport Worker. We also have a 15 strongadministrative team and in-house practice pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, a mentalhealth practitioner and social prescribers.
Job responsibilities
Weare looking to appoint a receptionist to join our busy GP practice who will bethe first point of contact for patients, contractors, and visitors as well ascarrying out general office management tasks.
Youwill be responsible for the general reception duties within the Practice andwork with our established processes, policies, and procedures to provide acomprehensive high quality service and deal efficiently and courteously withpatient enquiries.
Youwill receive, assist, and direct patients in accessing the appropriate serviceor healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.
Youwill provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive andfriendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via thetelephone.
Youwill have excellent communication skills, a compassionate and friendly nature, and be able to operate in a busy environment with a range of people and professions,as you will be working with our clinical and administration teams.
Thisrole is ideal for someone who is highly organised and an effective communicatorwho can provide a professional and warm welcome to our patients, ensuring everycontact is of the highest quality.
