Kepak is a global food company serving international retailers and food service household names with prime cuts of meat, on-trend food concepts and ready-for-market convenience foods. Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchersβ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
We are currently recruiting for a Stock Controller (Stock Checker) to work in our meat manufacturing site in Merthyr Tydfil. This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 4.00pm with a competitive salary.
Role Purpose
To ensure stock system reflects physical stock by carrying out stock takes. The role involves you being an integral part of the team. You will need to be able to take responsibility for your work, ensuring accuracy in recording and sharing of information.
Key Responsibilities
- Working to a daily and weekly schedule in fresh and frozen (-25Β°C) environment.
- Scanning each item in an assigned section using scanner, paying attention to detail. Ensuring all pallets and cases are scanned correctly.
- Review reports, seek out missing stock and resolving any deviations. Communicating findings with all stakeholders.
- Feedback results to Stock Controller and Despatch Leadership Team.
- Liaise with all stakeholders to investigate stock discrepancies and to find the root cause.
