Kepak Mclntosh Donald are looking for a Meat Market Operative to join our team on a full-time basis.
Working Pattern
40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, start time around 6am (finish time flexible).
Role Purpose
Responsible for stock movement and rotation of red meat for sale and consumption in accordance with client specifications and Company SOPs.
Responsibilities
- Unload product from chills, moving to designated location
- Handle product with care to maintain quality and yields
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet daily targets
- Minimise and manage waste as instructed
- Ensure product is of the highest standard, reporting issues to the Line Supervisor immediately
- Be familiar with the daily production plan and work as part of the team to set up the meat market, complete checks and ensure materials are ready to use
- Perform all prestart, hygiene and safety checks as instructed
- Maintain understanding of customer specifications and yields
- Comply with Company health and safety rules, including hygiene requirements
- Report breakages, damages or equipment failures immediately to the Line Supervisor; only use equipment when safe
- Report accidents or near misses and assist with investigations as instructed
- Minimise and report waste appropriately
- Maintain and securely store tools and equipment
- Actively participate in all required company training
- Any other duties as required by management within the competency of the post
