Kepak McIntosh Donald are a globally recognised brand and the largest red meat producer in Scotland; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
We are looking a Maintenance Engineer, to join our Maintenance and Engineering team to provide effective maintenance support to the Production team, maintain and repair the equipment, machinery and tools used in the factory.
This is a full time night shift role, working Sunday to Thursday.
Role Requirements
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all critical production equipment and systems postproduction.
- Conduct in-depth inspections and diagnostics to identify potential mechanical, electrical, or automation issues.
- Execute repairs, replacements, and calibrations on machinery postproduction.
- Work from maintenance logs, schematics, and SOPs to address known or reported issues.
- Assist in system upgrades, installations, and machinery overhauls without disrupting production schedules.
- Conduct routine proactive start-up checks on all critical machinery prior to production start to ensure equipment readiness and minimize delays.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports for day-shift review.
- Coordinate with the day shift maintenance and production teams for handovers and issue resolution.
- Contribute to machinery compliance with the relevant health and safety legislation, as well a relevant site food hygiene and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area and workshop.
- Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.

- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLC control, refrigeration and PTW systems desirable
- Strong diagnostic/root cause analysis skills essential
- Proactive and \”can-do\” attitude essential

- Fluent English, communicates well in written and oral form with multi-nationals on all levels
