About the Role
We are currently seeking a Factory Cleaner – Nights (Industrial Cleaner) to join our team. As a Factory Cleaner, you will be responsible for deep cleaning all areas of the factory including the abattoir, ensuring a clean and safe working environment for production. This is a crucial role that plays a vital part in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the facility.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure all areas of the factory are clean and tidy, meeting health and safety standards.
- Dispose of waste appropriately.
- Sweep and wash floors.
- Adhere to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies.
- Follow health and safety procedures and policies.
- Pre‑wash down areas including floors, walls, belts, and machinery as required.
- Operate tray wash equipment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leaders.
- Deep clean machinery including belts, framework, walls, floors, ceilings, and lights.
- Follow cleaning instruction cards according to the area.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, from 19:00 until 05:00. Full‑time contract.
Pay: You can earn up to £33,790 per year (£14.44 per hour).
Requirements
- Full training will be provided.
- Preferred experience within a meat processing or factory environment, e.g. prior experience in industrial cleaning or food production.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines and HACCP.
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move equipment as required.
