Kepak McIntosh Donald are looking for a Distribution Operative to join our team.

Working Pattern

40h/week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm (with 2x 30mins break)

Job Purpose

Responsible for the day-to-day receipt, storage, and distribution within the company’s centralised distribution centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance with company/client quality specifications
  • Safe and effective handling of products in accordance with their characteristics
  • Dealing with the receipt of meat products from production
  • Checking of products against relevant documentation
  • Ensuring the storeroom operates efficiently and effectively
  • Carrying out stock rotation
  • Preparation of products for despatch
  • Completion of relevant documentation accurately and legibly
  • Effectively operate company’s computerised system
  • Loading of products for despatch
  • Complying with Company’s health and safety rules, including hygiene requirements
  • Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet targets
  • Reporting any accidents or near misses, assisting with investigations as instructed/necessary
  • Experience working in a similar warehouse or material management environment beneficial
  • Manual handling ability and awareness
  • Forklift, Electric Pallet Truck (EPT), and/or Reach Truck licences beneficial
  • Able to communicate in English in written and oral form with multi-nationals on all levels
  • Ability to work in chilled and cold store environments
  • Flexibility to meet daily/weekly distribution targets
  • Consistent approach and strong work ethic
  • Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
  • Adaptable to change and operational demands
  • Competency based rate of pay
  • Standard working week is Monday to Friday, 40hrs/week, 8:30am-5:30pm (with 2 x 30mins break)
  • Overtime rate of time and a half applies when you work over 44 hours/week
  • 31 days annual leave per year (after probation)
