As a Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in providing effective maintenance support to our Production team, ensuring the equipment, machinery, and tools used in our factory are always running smoothly, maintaining seamless production and enhancing efficiency. We are looking for someone with suitable qualifications and experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with meat or food production experience. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLC control, refrigeration, and PTW systems is desirable. You will be working on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern from 5.00am to 5.00pm - 36 hours or 48 hours per week averaging out at 42 per week, with a competitive salary.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake Electrical and Mechanical routine checking of equipment, quality inspections and troubleshooting on the production lines and process, working to minimise down time.
  • Troubleshooting using PLC Logic.
  • Electro-mechanical repairs to high-speed, PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment, also pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Effective communication with productions teams, providing timely updates on breakdowns/down time.
  • Technical support for the plant facilities and services, including compressed air, refrigeration, and steam.
  • Input to and carry out Preventive Maintenance.
