Kepak is a global food company serving international retailers and food service household names with prime cuts of meat, on-trend food concepts and ready-for-market convenience foods. Kepak in Bodmin is a beef processing facility. We offer beef products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
Our Beef Boning Department is looking for people who are interested in getting involved in the butchery processes. This might be packing or sorting the meat - all part of learning about the business to further your career at Kepak. Working 40 to 45 hours a week Monday to Friday from 6.30am with flexibility on finishing times and a salary of £12.75 per hour. In addition, we offer an excellent range of benefits and facilities. Responsibilities
- Check the cuts of meat to ensure they are in line with specification, ensuring it meets with our high quality standards
- Be able to recognise the different cuts of meat - full training will be given
- Arrange the meat in packaging, complying with customer specifications
- Weigh product and ensure correct
- Reject any items (including packaging) which does not meet our quality specifications
- Adhere to Health & Safety rules and procedures
- Work in a cold environment
- Be a team player
