Kepak Group is a leading European food producer and meat processor, operating multiple manufacturing sites across Ireland and the UK. Our Aberdeen site is seeking dedicated Abattoir Operatives to join our production team and contribute to our high standards of food safety and product quality.

As an Abattoir Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe processing of meat products. You will be part of a collaborative team that values reliability, adaptability, and a passion for delivering quality food.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carry out basic slaughter and carcass preparation tasks on the production line
  • Work at a steady pace to keep up with line speed and meet daily targets
  • Maintain high product quality and promptly report issues to the supervisor
  • Prepare the production line and ensure equipment is ready for use
  • Conduct hygiene, safety, and pre-start checks
  • Adhere to company SOPs, guidelines, and quality standards
  • Follow knife safety and health & safety rules, including hygiene practices
  • Perform other duties as required by management within competency

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Able to perform physically demanding work involving standing and moving throughout the day on a production line
  • Able to lift up to 25 kg
  • Able to work in a warm environment
  • Basic conversational English skills
  • Has the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Available to start work at 6:00am Monday–Friday, with finish time varying based on production volumes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a production-line or factory environment with pace and throughput targets
  • Awareness of hygiene and food safety practices in a food production environment
  • Experience following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety rules in an operational environment
