Join our team at Keolis Amey Metrolink (KAM), the largest light rail network in the UK! This is a fantastic opportunity to support our managers and exec teams to really make a difference and drive forward strategic people initiatives. In this role, no day will be the same, as you empower positive change and embrace new ways of working by leading on key projects and workstreams to bring our people strategy of Attract, Develop, Retain to life. It’s an opportunity to bring your creative ideas to the table and put your stamp on the role.
You will play an integral role supporting the setup of our people processes and working in partnership with our unions to manage our ER risk, delivering positive change for a modern, flexible and inclusive workplace. Key accountabilities will include:
- Roll your sleeves up and get stuck into all things people & culture related; every day will be different as we drive best in class support and an opportunity to use your coaching skills.
- Support the delivery of our people projects such as diversity & inclusion, reward & benefits, management development, organisational change and wellbeing and performance management.
- Support on diversity and inclusion initiatives, driving inclusive practices into everything we do.
- Lead on the design and delivery of change projects, working with our teams and trade union partners.
- Provide practical, people and employment law advice to leaders, managers & supervisors.
- Proactively manage people policy and employment law updates to ensure statutory compliance and best practice.
- Know and love data to influence positive change, produce monthly reports that identify opportunities to continuously improve what we do and think outside the box.
- Work with key partners including Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, Manchester City Council and Unions.
- Manage relationships with external service providers including rewards & benefits partner.
What you’ll bring:
- Excellent knowledge and practical application of employment law and HR best practice.
- Evidence of successfully leading change initiatives.
- Experience of managing complex cases and providing practical advice and guidance.
- Evidence of working in partnership with Trade Union partners.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Know your audience, be able to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Passionate about driving change, overcoming barriers.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexible approach, you can adapt to your situation to get the best results.
- Results focused with a passion for delivering projects on time and working as part of an awesome team.
- Analytical thinking, using data to drive decision making to shape and support the business.
What we will offer you:
- Salary banding is ÂŁ55,000 - ÂŁ60,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
- Permanent, working full time 37.5 hrs per week.
