People Partner to help shape our people agenda, support leaders and enhance the employee experience across a diverse operational environment.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to partner with leaders across the business, providing expert advice and delivering people solutions that support organisational performance.

You'll act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, talent management, engagement, organisational change and workforce development, helping to build a high-performing and inclusive culture.

Working across our Poplar and Beckton sites, you'll collaborate closely with leaders and colleagues to ensure our people practices align with business objectives and UK employment legislation.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic HR Partnership
  • Partner with leaders to deliver people strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on organisational design, workforce planning and change initiatives.
  • Support talent and succession planning activities.
  • Employee Relations
  • Manage complex employee relations cases and provide expert guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and company policies.
  • Support managers with performance, disciplinary and absence matters.
  • Talent Management & Engagement
  • Support recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Drive employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion and career development.
  • Learning & Development
  • Identify development needs and support capability-building initiatives.
  • Promote succession planning and development programmes.
  • HR Operations
  • Ensure HR processes and records are accurate and compliant.
  • Support continuous improvement and effective use of HR systems and data.
  • What You'll Need
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Experience working as an HR Business Partner, People Partner or equivalent role.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and employee relations.
  • Experience supporting change management and organisational development initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience working within complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage sensitive matters professionally.
  • Experience using HR systems and technology.
  • Experience within transport, rail, engineering, manufacturing or other operational environments.
  • Experience with talent management and engagement programmes.
  • Knowledge of Korn Ferry Job Evaluation methodology.
