About the Role:
Keolis Gold Coast is preparing for the delivery of Stage 3 of the Gold Coast Light Rail, with Go-Live planned for 2026. This is a newly created role to ensure the successful delivery of Stage 3 Go-Live and to establish a sustainable IT and OT operating model in order to support Stage 3 needs and beyond the program lifecycle. This is a hands-on lead role, locally focused and working closely with operational teams and corporate technology functions. This role reports directly to the Head of Finance & Commercial and indirectly to Group CIO and Technical Director. Full Time Permanent Keolis promotes a flexible working environment. This role will however require a high degree of on-site presence.
Key Accountabilities:
- Project Delivery (Stage 3 Focus): Deliver IT and OT projects critical to Stage 3 Go-Live, from planning through to implementation. Delivery of core systems initiatives including ERP, data, reporting and infrastructure upgrades. Coordinate migrations where applicable to Keolis Group platforms with minimal operational disruption. Ensure solutions meet operational needs and are delivered safely, reliably and on schedule.
- IT / OT Operations and Infrastructure: Manage the performance and lifecycle of: Network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/VPN), Servers, storage and cloud platforms (Azure / M365), End-user computing and device fleet, Core operational and business systems. Ensure availability and stability of critical systems. Maintain operational documentation, backups and recovery arrangements.
- Vendors and managed service providers: Act as day-to-day technical manager for MSPs and key vendors. Monitor performance against agreed service levels. Support transition of selected services in-house where required. Identify opportunities for service improvement and cost efficiency.
- Governance, risk and assurance: Ensure ICT services align with internal policies and contractual requirements. Maintain technology risks, issues and change controls. Support audits, assurance activities and operational reporting as required. Contribute to short- and medium-term ICT planning and standardisation. Work closely with Operations and depot teams, Finance and commercial functions, HSQE and corporate technology teams. Translate operational needs into practical technology solutions.
- Cyber Security: Support baseline cyber security controls as part of normal IT operations, including: Identity and access management, Patch and vulnerability remediation, Endpoint protection.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in IT or equivalent practical experience
- Experience managing IT infrastructure and operational systems
- Strong vendor and service provider management experience
- Experience delivering technology projects in operational environments
- Experience in transport, utilities or asset-intensive environments
- Exposure to ERP, data or reporting platforms
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies (Azure, M365, Dynamics)
- Other System experience (Sage Micropay, Hastus, TIMS)
