The Role
What You'll Do
- Lead KAD's IT service delivery function, including Service Desk, infrastructure and business systems.
- Act as the senior escalation point for IT incidents, service disruptions and operational issues.
- Ensure IT services meet availability, reliability, performance and security requirements.
- Maintain and improve IT Service Management processes aligned to ITIL principles.
- Manage IT assets, procurement activities, suppliers, contracts and service level agreements.
- Lead infrastructure upgrades, system migrations and technology improvement projects.
- Support cyber security governance, vulnerability management, disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance requirements, franchise obligations and audit standards.
- Work closely with Information Security teams to maintain robust security controls across IT systems.
- Lead, coach and develop the IT team.
What You'll Need
Essential
- Degree in an IT-related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 6+ years' experience in IT service delivery environments, including team leadership responsibilities.
- ITIL Foundation certification (or higher) or equivalent IT Service Management qualification.
- Significant experience managing IT services within a regulated, operationally critical or complex environment.
- Experience managing third-party suppliers, service contracts and service level agreements.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune/MDM, networking and cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
- Experience delivering IT projects, service improvements, infrastructure upgrades or migrations.
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, governance and risk management.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading and developing technical support or service delivery teams.
Desirable
- Microsoft technical certifications.
- Experience within the rail, transport, infrastructure or wider safety-critical sector.
- Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) systems.
- PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification.
- Experience supporting ISO 27001, NIS or similar governance frameworks.
