DescriptionTo undertake a variety of tasks to support the members of the non‐delegated Litigation team in achieving Client KPIs and SLAs.

Key Accountabilities

Update case management system with file allocations, diary records, court dates, directions, applications and orders as well as general activity, ensuring accurate recording of activity to allow progress tracking.

Draft routine court documents such as AOS, Notice of Change, Court Orders, Witness Summons and precedent‐based applications.

Liaise with Courts, Counsel, Opponents, Experts, Witnesses, Insureds and brokers to progress the case, including requests for extensions, booking counsel etc.

Follow up on outstanding instructions, documents and other actions to ensure responses are received within required timescales.

Make payment requests using the appropriate payment request process for the client and chase to ensure payments are received and dispatched within required deadlines.

Diarise and update CRU.

Ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations.

Undertake additional ad‐hoc duties to support File Handlers and the team, e.g. undertake minor investigations on liability and quantum; complete administrative duties.

Working Hours35 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Experience of working in a legal environment is desirable.

Good communication skills and experience of negotiating with and influencing 3rd parties to obtain information.

Demonstrable experience of following a semi‐prescribed programme of work.

Dealing with calls and enquiries from customers, suppliers and/or the public.

Gathering and recording information.

Ability to work under own initiative, prioritising and organising own workload.

IT Literate; proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).

Experience of using a Claims/Case Management system.

Proficient in the use of alpha‐numeric filing systems.

GCSE grade A–C in Maths and English or equivalent.
