The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This role offers an excellent development opportunity to work in the Legacy Employment Team undertaking both short-tail disease claims, supporting a partner on primarily stress claims and discrimination claims, in addition to Employment Tribunal claims and employment law advisory work. You will be working with a recognised market leader in Disease and Employment Law assisting on multi-party, highly sensitive/high-profile cases. Aside from technical excellence, experience of stress claims, discrimination law, and employment law is preferred. The role also includes the need to interface with sophisticated senior claims handlers in long-standing insurance clients, senior figures at insured and corporate clients and responsibility for enhancing and developing Keoghs profile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting partner on a mixed caseload of complex stress, discrimination and employment law claims with a view to handling own caseload
- Collating and reviewing documents, taking witness statements, drafting pleadings, instructing counsel/experts, preparing bundles
- Advising clients on all aspects of claim handling (with partner support) to include advice on indemnity, liability and quantum issues and claims resolution strategy
- Make full use of the firm’s Case Management System in progressing files from receipt to closure
- Attend hearings in person or by telephone, attend final hearings, settlement conferences etc. as required
- As required, delegate appropriate work to team members
- Completing and updating MI
- Achieving a chargeable target
