The role of Paralegal is to support the members of the litigation motor team in achieving Client KPI’s and SLA’s. The team handles cases from corporate clients with a value of up to £100K. The litigated motor team is growing and the role of Paralegal is a great stepping‑stone for someone wanting to embark on their legal career.

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Primary location for this role is our Liverpool Office, St Pauls Square. We are hybrid workers with attendance required 1 day a week and 4 days from home.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To undertake a range of duties on files including diarising court orders, dealing with CRU, sending chasers, processing imprest payments, completion of MI file closure and other delegated chargeable non‑legal tasks.
  • To achieve a chargeable target.
  • To assist with other non‑chargeable duties including file closures/transfer and other administration tasks as requested by the team.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Established interest in law either through further education or experience within a process‑driven legal environment.
  • IT literate; proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
  • Calm under pressure with the ability to re‑prioritise and delegate effectively when required.
  • Confident with the ability to take initiative to innovate and adapt to changing situations.
  • Good team worker with the flexibility to do what is required to get a result and ensure client service levels are met.
  • Work effectively within the Keoghs Shared Behaviour framework.
  • Confidence to seek advice and guidance when dealing with new tasks.
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instruction with attention to detail.
  • Client care – respond professionally to client requests and maintain an even disposition while handling sensitive or confidential material.
