Description
We are looking for ambitious, driven lawyers who are looking to join a leading Northern Ireland defence firm. Keoghs NI have grown year on year since inception in 2019, and the successful candidate will benefit from working with an insurance industry leader representing most of the key Insurance clients in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain key and new client relationships, including attendance at appropriate client meetings
- Management of service delivery and quality to key disease clients
- Assist in increasing the profile of Keoghs NI in the Disease market (which may include the production of marketing information including articles/blogs, delivering training/seminars etc
- Handling own caseload including high value/complex/nominated cases with appropriate assistance and agreed performance metrics (chargeable hours and billing)
- Contribution to relevant contract tender submissions
- Contribute to the development of key strategies to combat opponent behaviours
Working Hours
35 Hours per week β Hybrid working
Primary location for this role is the Belfast office.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
- Qualified Solicitor with previous experience in civil litigation (plaintiff or defence)
- An ability to prioritise workload & strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with case management systems
Desirable
- Previous experience in litigated defendant insurance work up to Β£500k including Disease cases, particularly industrial disease claims including HAVS, Mesothelioma, Plaques and Asbestosis claims, Dermatitis and hearing loss claims.
- Proven track record in working within a team within a legal environment
- Previous experience of contributing tenders and pricing
