The Lead Discrimination Lawyer will handle own caseload of mixed equality, harassment and complex discrimination cases within our Legacy department. You will be expected to manage and progress claims in accordance with appropriate strategies to secure desired outcomes at appropriate levels of profitability.

Key Responsibilities
- Overall conduct of allocated matters fixing strategy and liaising directly with clients.
- Responsibility for Assistants & their development.
- Ensure adherence with court timetables by taking relevant actions/delegation of tasks as appropriate.
- Ensuring experts are instructed in sufficient time by taking relevant actions/delegation of tasks as appropriate.
- Attending conferences with Counsel and Clients.
- Dealing with routine correspondence.
- Compliance with MI.
- To ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations.
- Adhere to the Keoghs Values.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Technically proficient in dealing with a caseload of Equality Act cases including denial of access to services, acts of discrimination and harassment under the Equality Act.
- Technically proficient and confident in managing claims involving litigants in person.
- Experience of dealing with the Claims Portal as well as Fast, Intermediate and Multi Track litigation.
- Effective negotiator.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Good listening and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organise, delegate & prioritise.
- Good level of IT skills.
