We have an exciting opportunity to join our Complex Injury Claims Team, working closely with Partner, Steven Warburton on a diverse and high-value caseload. This role is ideal for a motivated paralegal looking to deepen their experience in complex, large-loss claims within a supportive and collaborative environment.
You'll gain hands‐on exposure to a wide range of cases, including personal injury, employer's liability (EL), public liability (PL), and product liability claims – some of which involve international elements. Working Pattern
- Full‐time, 35 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Hybrid working: 1 day in the office, remainder remote
What You'll Be Doing
As part of Steven's team, you'll play a key role in progressing claims from start to finish. Your responsibilities will grow as you develop, and may include:
- Preparing, filing, and serving court documents, and managing key deadlines
- Liaising with experts and counsel to coordinate conferences, JSMs, and hearings
- Communicating with clients, insureds, and witnesses, including arranging attendance at hearings and drafting witness summons
- Supporting court processes, including applications and consent orders
- Managing CRU registrations and updates
- Maintaining accurate case records, including expert summaries and payment histories
- Coordinating medical appointments and evidence gathering (records, reports, police documents)
- Reviewing and summarising medical records and other evidence
- Handling document redaction in line with legal and GDPR requirements
- Responding to queries from stakeholders including insurers, experts, and witnesses
- Assisting with legal research and general case support
- Helping the team deliver excellent client service and meet performance targets
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and eager to learn. Ideally, you will have:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades 5/A–C or above)
- A demonstrated interest in law through further study (e.g. LPC, ILEX) or legal experience
- Previous experience or understanding of the litigation process (RTA, EL, or PL preferred)
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders
- The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A proactive, team‐oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering great client service
