Keoghs LLP is one of the leading insurance law firms in the UK, recognized for its dynamism in the sector. We are seeking an Assistant Lawyer to join our Legal team, focusing on policy coverage and insurance litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle household and commercial property recovery files
• Build client relationships through training and mentoring
• Deliver legal solutions to complex problems
• Participate in training seminars and workshops for insurer clients
• Conduct legal research, draft documents, and assist in court proceedings
• Engage in settlement negotiations and prepare legal documents for trial
• Assist with ADR processes, including mediation
• Ensure compliance with SRA Standards & Regulations

Working Hours

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, including a 1-hour unpaid lunch. The role is based at Parklands, Bolton, with a hybrid working model requiring 1 day in the office.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• Experience in Defendant insurance litigation, particularly recoveries
• Knowledge of household and commercial recoveries
• Strong prioritization and attention to detail skills
• Experience with case management systems
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and senior claims handlers
