The Kenvue Customer Category Development team is responsible for delivering category plans that build sustainable growth for both Kenvue and our retail partners. As a Category Manager, you will partner with our customers to provide category and shopper insight and provide compelling actionable plans and solutions to grow category and Kenvue sales. You will lead the category agenda for your categories in your customer, working closely with your Category Channel Lead, the sales and category strategy teams to influence and accelerate the implementation of the Kenvue category vision. You are accountable for Kenvue distribution and shelf presence and achieving our Perfect Store metrics through Range Reviews.

Role Scope & Deliverables

  • Provide thought leadership for customers, through sharing and tailoring our category growth strategies & delivering category recommendations.
  • Lead the end-to-end range review process with your customers – making recommendations across all Perfect Store & category levers.
  • Execute the optimal contact strategy to win with your retailer.
  • Provide category insights and thinking within your customer Multi-Functional Selling Team.
  • Lead customer specific projects in your category that are unlocked through retailer partnership, with the support of your line manager (Category Channel Lead).
  • Develop range/assortment and space recommendations that enable optimum distribution and visibility of NPI and all SKUs in our MSLs.
  • Accountable for managing Kenvue category performance trackers and highlighting progress, opportunities and risks.
  • Be a key part of the 'lift and shift' highly engaged team culture in the Category Development Team, sharing learnings and supporting your colleagues across the full team.

Job Requirements

  • Understanding of Category Development in FMCG and commercial acumen.
  • Evidence of delivering range reviews either as a Category Manager or Executive, or within a Sales role and have spent time with customer buying and merchandising teams.
  • Experience of working with customer and shopper insights.
  • Proficiency in Nielsen, Worldpanel and customer databases (e.g. dunnhumby) essential.
  • Degree level educated or equivalent.
  • Proficient spoken and written use of the English Language.
  • Up to 50% Travel within UK for Customer Visits where applicable.
