Kenvue is currently recruiting for a Finance Student Placement (Tax) located in Reading, UK (Hybrid). The Tax Planning group has responsibility for the design, deployment and management of Kenvue’s tax strategy. Our hardworking, diverse team of professionals are based in the US, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
We are responsible for:
- Planning: being the tax organisation's face to the business, providing expert support, business model maintenance/evolution, managing intercompany flows and pricing, forecasting and monitoring the region effective tax rate;
- Risk management: monitoring principal substance, maintaining documentation, reserves, in-market activity and preparing for controversy;
- Controversy: support for tax audits and Advance Pricing Agreements;
- Business Development: Liaison with functional partners, including through attendance at and note taking at meetings;
- Data-gathering across functions and data analysis (e.g. supporting tax audit work, gathering financial information and providing insights/analysis);
- Mapping of inter-company relationships, functions and organisations;
- Intercompany price-setting;
- Supporting the tax payments process and working with our compliance co-source providers, Deloitte;
- Assistance in the preparation of presentation, training and knowledge-sharing materials, standard procedures and documentary records;
- Management and engagement of external advisors.
What we are looking for:
- Education: 2 years of degree level study completed; A minimum of 2:1 achieved in first year of study; Accounting and Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Sciences and Business-related degree types preferred.
- Experience and Skills:
- Keen ability to learn, analyse and absorb information and processes;
- Ability to problem solve and analyse situations;
- Time management and prioritising skills;
- Proficient level of English;
- Confident and outgoing communicator, with strong written communication skills;
- Must be a motivated self-starter with ambition;
- Strong organisation skills;
- Sound knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
